Mark D. Heiner, MD, FACOG
Dr. Heiner is a Board Certified Obstetrician /Gynecologist as well as a highly skilled pelvic surgeon. He has over 15 years experience and has delivered over 4000 babies in his career. He and his wife, Vickie, along with their children came to the Elkin area in 2007 and now consider Elkin to be their home. Dr. Heiner is well known and respected for his compassionate patient care and expert medical knowledge. He is a graduate of the University of Utah School of Medicine and served as Chief Resident of the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.
Melissa Tharpe, WHNP-BC
Melissa is a nationally certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been with Elkin Ob/Gyn since 2008 and has well over 10 years experience. She specializes in the overall care of women with gynecological and obstetric needs. She is exceptionally well known for her compassionate care and understanding both a woman's physical and emotion needs.
